Cosmetic Dentistry
Is For Everyone!

Implants are installed to replace missing teeth. They are the permanent, most durable solution available and are far superior to dentures and bridges. Success rates average about 95%. Your implants will either be installed by a periodontists or an oral surgeon.
Installing an implant is a two-part procedure. The entire process takes many months to complete. The first part of their installation requires that your dentist drill what is called a pilot hole into your jaw where your missing tooth was once located.
Once the pilot hole is created, your dentist will slowly increase the width of the hole to accommodate the implant screw. After the screw is in placed, the implant will be covered with a temporary, protective cover for three to six months.
While your jaw heals, osseointegration must occur between your jaw and the implant screw. This is the firm anchoring between your jawbone and the implant - your bone will grow around the implant. After osseointegration completes, the temporary protective cover will be removed and a temporary crown will be installed in its place. Your gum will grow and shape itself around the temporary crown. The last part of the procedure requires your dentist to remove the temporary crown and permanently install the permanent crown. - edit done
